About the Films

Synopsis

Animals playing in the dirt find something magical and go to investigate.

Director Notes

I've seen so many film festivals over the years. One thing I'm noticing is their interest in 1 minute short films. Since there's also no entry fee for 1 minute shorts, I thought of something that was near to me and could be conveyed in 60 seconds. As many of you probably don't know, Laos is the most bombed country per capita on the planet, ever. 270 million bombs were dropped on Laos and many of them did not detonate. They estimate about 80 million bombs are still in the ground and they continue to injure and kill farmers and children each year. While most of my work has never been overly political, I thought this fact was too difficult to ignore.
